For the upcoming year 2018 I have laced a package with the cables and adapters I need on the road or in the office.
As a bag I chose the BAGSMART compact electronics cable bag. With its versatile cable pockets and loops, the bag provides a place for almost any type of cable or adapter.
The bag is made of sturdy fabric and it’s flexible. This is beneficial for many cables. In the bag, there is another compartment with a zipper and another layer with further storage possibilities.
With 3 smartphones, 2 tablets and a MacBook, of course, I need enough power. For this I bought the ANKER PowerCore 20100mAh battery. This loads my iPhone 8, iPhone 7, Samsung Galaxy S8, iPad Air 2 and Microsoft Surface 3 at least once full. This also fits almost seamlessly into the pocket of Bagsmart.
CHAFON Premium 6 in 1 USB quick charging cable – This is my absolute favorite. With the cable from CHAFON you can load multiple devices at the same time with only one USB port. One USB port has 2x micro-USB, 1x Lightning, 1x USB Type C and a mini-USB port. I would have liked to have bought the cable in black instead of colour, but at CHAFON there is currently only colourful in stock.
USB to micro-USB cable can’t still not be missing: Despite the solution from CHAFON, I still have a USB cable in case one of my friends or colleagues needs to load their phones. Here I use a micro-USB on USB-C adapter too if needed.
OTG adapter for my Samsung Galaxy S8. I carry it. Always. If I have to pack pictures of the DSLR or a USB stick on the Galaxy S8.
Replacement headphones from Samsung – If one of my colleagues or friends has no headphones or I forgot mine, I always have a 2nd pair. I currently have the standard Samsung headphones from the box of the Galaxy S7 Edge in my Survival Kit.
Of course, a USB 3.0 stick with 16GB from Kingston can’t be missing. I always have it with me. However, this is only formated for macOS systems.
The UrCover tech magnetic cable, which also brings the Magsafe comfort to my iPhones and iPads, I can never forget. Even the iPhone 8 already supports wireless charging I need the cable for my business phone, my iPhone 7.
I have all the products mentioned here according to the cheapest variant or Generally selected according to the price. I use all these products several times a week in work, on the train or at home.
Do you still have an idea what to put in a tech survival kit? Please let me know your ideas or even your Survival Kits by comment or e-mail.
